Ready, fire . . . then aim?

May 25, 2017

Georgia Alliance for Social Justice (GAfSJ) was forged from the passion behind Atlanta’s 60,000-strong March for Social Justice and Women in January 2017.

The organizers of the event became the founders of a new nonprofit focused on activism for equity and justice. Their challenge was pausing to build a solid base for growth, while actively responding to breaking-news issues.

GAfSJ ran the risk of becoming a moment, instead of a movement.

Earlier this month, Creative Director Terri Fuller and colleague David Shavzin of Shavzin & Associates helped GAfSJ find the clarity to move forward with confidence. This crucial pause for planning was a one-day all-you-can-eat buffet of branding and business strategy!

One day. A tall order. But GAfSJ needed to define their message and create a viable structure for an all-volunteer organization on the move.

Terri and David wielded their potent creative and business savvy to lead the group of 15 stakeholders to a vision. And a visible target! The team collaborated to develop the brand, evaluate strategies, and create actionable goals.

Now, GAfSJ is back in action. But the path forward is easier with a map.
